Philip Anschutz, head of the Anschutz Foundation, donated more than $90 million over an eight-year period to found CU’s new medical center where the Kempe Foundation will now be located.
According to The Kempe Center’s website, their goal is to create a center that would address child abuse and neglect by way of clinical treatment and research methods.
The Kempe Center will comprise the first three floors of the East Pavilion at The Children’s Hospital and is expected to open later this year.
“This will help us affect the most kids in the most efficient way possible,” said Dr. Rob Clyman, executive director of the Kempe Center.
