BEST ONGOING DATE

If you’ve met someone that you’re stoked to spend time with this summer but you’re having trouble thinking of date ideas, there’s a weekly date that will not only show off your athleticism, but get you a little drunk at the same time.

KIFAC’s Denver Kickball League puts a spin on the traditional recess game by requiring you to hold a cup of beer in your hand the entire time you’re playing. This makes for an interesting task since you’re trying to kick, catch, and run around the bases, but it’s also fun for those who aren’t the best at sports.

Instead of concentrating on the game itself, this weekly game throughout the summer was created to simply have a good time. The rules are a little different than what you may be used to, but they take away the pressure of winning a game in order to let loose.

The Denver Kickball League starts competitions every spring, summer, and fall, but the summer league is definitely the most fun. With warm nights and no school in session—unless you’re a nerd and are taking classes during break—it’s the perfect alternative to fancy dinners and conversationless date nights.

Even if your date sucks at sports altogether, this drunken kickball extravaganza gives you the opportunity to provide a summer full of fun and laughs. Plus, if you end up winning a game, there’s that much more of a chance that you not only made it to first base, but get a home run. Play ball.
