Blackberry vs. Android vs. iPhone? It’s been a ferocious debate throughout the years. Which is the ultimate phone to have? Though competition has been fierce, it seems that the lifespan of one smartphone company is finally starting to dwindle.

Blackberry, with the release of its new Blackberry Z10, displays its final efforts to stay in the race. Though matching in style, speed and quality, it seems as though Blackberry’s attempts might just be a little too late.

Differing from what is expected from a typical Blackberry, the Z10 form is nothing new compared to the typical iPhone or Android. Now sporting a 4.2” complete touch display and a .35” thickness, the newest model seems comparable to the petite iPhone 5, though not as stylishly designed.

Keeping up with its reputation for swift messaging, however, Blackberry introduces a new typing experience. With built in intelligence, the new keyboard can accurately predict your next words and quickly respond with just a swipe of your finger, proving that ditching the physical keypad was for the best.

The Z10 also offers high-speed navigation; however, it has been reviewed that it can be slightly less user-friendly as its organization can be tricky. It does provide the “Blackberry Hub”, which is a menu that contains all of the phone’s notifications. However, it can be difficult to navigate to and from, unlike the quick and easy transition found on the iPhone and Android platforms.

Another downside, which has been Blackberry’s problem from the beginning, is the lack of apps available. Though the Z10 introduces many new gaming, organizational, and networking apps, they are nothing in comparison to the mass number of apps provided by Apple and the Android market. Without these vital pieces of the puzzle, it is predicted that Blackberry will, again, fall short with buyers.

Available sometime in mid-March, the Z10 will begin, what some may say, is Blackberry’s final journey into the smartphone market. Be sure to check out all that it has to offer at their website, which also provides details as to where and when to pick one up.

Though offering innovative transformations, it seems as though Blackberry is no match for its speedy competitors.
