Even just passing by the storefront, large spray-painted murals can be seen though the lit display case at All City.

All City Hip Hop Shop Denver, sister to its New Mexico store, is a retail outlet that promotes the classic four elements of hip hop: DJing, MCing, b-boying, and graffiti.

Primarily, All City is known for their wide variety of spray paint. The shop sells popular brands for graffiti artists such as the Montana Gold, Montana Hardcore, Kobra, and IronLak. However, it’s best known for its in-house brand, All City.

The cans are showcased near the store front with its massive array of colors. Also, All City has a large color chart available for viewing, so that the potential graffiti artists can see the paint in action and compare the advertised color versus the actual color of the dried paint.

All City spray cans range from $3.99–$4.99 in price, as opposed to the more expensive brands, like the Montana series, which retail closer to $8.99.

Additionally, any aspiring graffiti artist can walk out of the store with an arsenal of graffiti tools. Markers, mops, and a variety of spray paint cap sizes are available at the store for reasonable prices.

While the establishment is a smaller operation compared to larger art supply retailers like Meiningers Art Supply or Guiry’s, it fills a very specific niche and beats out the competitors prices.

The shop also retails canvases, hoodies and sweatshirts, t-shirts, and other apparel all decked out with custom graffiti-style art and graphics.

All City also makes an effort to establish a strong online community to support DJs, MCs, b-boys/b-girls, and graffiti artists across the nation. Consistently they post videos and photographs of upcoming graffiti artists in Colorado, New Mexico, Miami and everywhere in between.

On the company’s website, thelaunderground.com, it hosts deals for ordering mass, bulk orders of paint and the subsequent discounts on its products. The online store is also laden with toys and accessories for the hip hop art enthusiasts including b-boy/b-girl models for painting, an array of heavy-duty markers, jewelry, and skateboards.

All City Hip Hop Shop can provide some insight into the hip hop arts cultures and may be a little lighter on your wallet for your next art supply purchase.
