The last few years have seen a boom in the frozen yogurt industry, and that’s a dream come true for a guy like me. I absolutely adore frozen yogurt. Whether it’s hot or cold outside, the refreshing love of a cup of froyo will always enliven your taste buds, greeting them like an old friend.

And no flavor is greeted with more open arms than Yogurtland’s Tart Mango.

It is, of course, tart. But not so much that it’s overbearing. It packs a subtly tropical punch, every bite seemingly quenching your thirst and then producing more, constantly fueling a desire for another bite. And then another, and another, each bite more fulfilling than the last.

The perfect topping to go along with mango is the shaved coconut. It adds a satisfyingly crunchy texture with a flavor that perfectly complements the tropical tartness.

A lot of people seem to think that frozen yogurt is a healthy alternative to ice cream. I’m no health freak, but this isn’t true in every case. The thing to look out for in frozen yogurt is high fructose corn syrup and other sugar substitutes, which can be detrimental to your body and its processes. Luckily, Yogurtland’s tart flavors don’t contain any of this evil stuff, including the mango flavor. But be careful eating the sweet and nonfat offerings—it’s not the healthiest.

No matter what the weather or time of day, I can always go for a heaping bowl of Yogurtland’s Mango Tart with coconut on top. It’s the perfect accompaniment to any day, mood or, well, anything.
