With an up-and-coming fashion entity, Frock Shop, you can rock original boutique pieces without spending a fortune. About four times a year, Frock Shop will open its doors to true fashion hunters.

Local designers and boutiques give away their overstock items to the Shop, which makes them available to the general public for 50-80 percent off their original prices. On April 14 and 15, Frock Shop opened at 1070 Bannock St., the former headquarters of Fashion Denver.

Frock Shop started out well with presenting many local brand names, such as PJ’s Boutique, Audrey Marie, Blush, and Garbarini, where you can find clothing, shoes, and accessories. GoGoMarj specializes in vintage and retro-inspired clothing and accessories. Free Ravin is the go-to place for feather accessories; however, the original prices are all in the three-digit range.

One more local store, Goldyn, deserves a special remark. This boutique sells high-end brand names, like McQueen, Helmut Lang, See by Chloe, and T by Alexander Wang.

Prices at this place range from $20 to a little over $100. Yet, these pieces are definitely worth it because the goods in the store are fashionable and high quality. They’re the pieces you’d see in fashion magazines. Why not look like a supermodel for a fraction of the price?

Frock Shop should become your one-stop shop for all the different wardrobe pieces from all these great brands. For more casual looks, you’ll find quality jeans and beautiful feminine tops made out of silk, lace, or cotton. Accessories here are mostly presented by chic necklaces and feather earrings, but you’ll still be able to find more casual pieces.

For more formal engagements, there are tons of gorgeous evening dresses. If you feel confident enough, you can even try their feather dress with a white silky top—a real steal at only $100. Pair it with high heels to look straight out of Hollywood red carpet events.
