UC Denver Live! attracts star artists

In 2002, faculty from the College of Arts and Media met with UC Denver leadership in order to create entertaining and artistic opportunities for the entire campus. The organization UC Denver Live! grew out of this meeting.

Building gear from the ground up

Jeff Merkel, recording arts and physics instructor at UC Denver, is looking to encourage students to build their own sound equipment (i.e amps, speakers and synthesizers). Last fall he established the student organization Gear Builders.

Increase in student fees

In order to increase funding for student services and resources, the UC Denver Student Government Association passed a proposal that will gradually double the amount of money paid in student fees over a five-year span.

Speaking up for women's history in women's ways

This year’s Women’s Leadership Conference is on March 5. Titled “Writing Women Back Into History,” the day-long event focuses on activities and insights for women geared toward teaching them how to tell their stories, or hear them from the past.
