RTD: Where to get picked up on campus

With over seven RTD bus routes it’s simple to get to and from campus. Routes 1, 15, 16, 20, 30, 31, AF, 8, and 36L all serve Auraria campus.

RTD bus numbers correspond to the routes they serve. Route 15 and 16, which serve East and West Colfax respectively, are given those numbers because Colfax is considered 15th Avenue. You can catch the 15 on the northeast side of campus, and the 16 on the south side.

The 20 goes through 20th avenue east and west from Denver West Boulevard to East 16th Avenue in Aurora. The AF can take you to the airport heading east or to the Federal Center heading west. Both are accessed on the north side of campus.

The 30 and 31 correspond to Federal Boulevard, south for the former and north for the latter. The 1 goes through First Avenue, a bit past Wadsworth headed west and a bit past Colorado headed east. You can get on the 30 and 31 on the south side of campus and the 1 can be reached on the north side.

Finally, the 8 starts near Mariposa Street and West Colfax, and takes you a bit past 120 West Avenue. The 36L goes as far as 21st Street downtown, all the way down through Federal to downtown Littleton, both having a stop on the south side of campus.

Don’t stress over winter driving, and consider public transport next time.
