Quick, get the cops

At 10:20 a.m. on Aug. 23, a Metro student reported that her black purse, containing her social security card, credit card, student ID, and driver's license was stolen from the Administration Building. The victim claims she left the purse unattended for 10 minutes and then noticed it was missing. After searching the perimeter for the bag, she walked to the police desk (mere feet away) to file the report.

Mac-portable

At 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 24, a Metro computer lab monitor reported that a white Mac Mini computer was stolen from a computer lab in the Science Building, along with the keyboard and mouse. Apple wasn't kidding when they said it was virtually a portable desktop.

Busy tone

At 5:10 p.m. on Aug. 25, a Metro student reported to Auraria police that her Blackberry was stolen from a computer lab in the Technology Building after she left it unattended at her lab station for approximately 10 minutes. The victim attempted to call the phone in order to retrieve it, but she got the devastating busy tone. Learn the lesson kids: only leave your personal property unattended for nine minutes or less.

Women's intuition

At 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 25, a Metro student reported that her Guess wallet was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the Tivoli Auraria Parking Structure. She told police that she left her driver's side window half way down to keep the car cool. Dear woman, don't leave your windows down if you don't want to get your shit jacked.
