Market Street Station

Being right across the street from a Chipotle and an Irish pub puts Market Street Station in an area with a high chance of public restroom usage. It isn’t the stench, filth, or condition of the restroom that make this the worst public restroom—it’s the lack of privacy.

Every bathroom has some level of stench and squalor, but the men’s bathroom at Market Street Station is well taken care of with custodial crews in and out to make it a highly functional restroom. It’s because of the fact that none of the bathroom stalls have a door for privacy, or a lock to dramatically break off so people like Sea Bass can make manly love to Lloyd Christmas on March 25, 2:15 a.m. sharp.

Seriously, no stall door? Did Market Street Station start out as a prison or a jail? Because not having a stall door is like having all of your personal rights taken away. It’s not like it takes a small fortune to install a few stall doors. A shower curtain would suffice. Hell, even a curtain made of toilet paper—two-ply of course—would be enough privacy to do your business.

If a person really has to go, this puts them in a real catch-22 with split second decision-making of the upmost importance. With regional buses from the station going to places like DIA, Boulder, and Longmont, it’s a long wait until the next restroom—hopefully one with a stall door.
